Dashboard Filters, Workflow Opportunities, and A2P Watchouts: This Week in HighLevel

March 20, 20252 min read

Not a huge volume of updates this week—but the ones that landed are serious game-changers.

From flexible dashboard filtering to smarter opportunity handling and another round of A2P compliance reminders, this week is about visibility, organization, and avoiding costly mistakes.

Let’s get into it.

Exciting Dashboard Updates

What Changed:
You can now add "Quick Filters" to dashboards, letting users toggle views without rebuilding entire modules. Filters can be tied to calendar groups, users, or any other relevant data source.

Why It Matters for LOs:

  • Build dashboards that act like real-time command centers

  • Let team members view data relevant to their own pipelines

  • Spot issues and wins faster with less dashboard clutter

Tip: Use "Logged-in User" as the default view so everyone sees their own metrics without needing custom dashboards.

New Chat Widget Features

Webchat configuration panel in HighLevel displaying options to set up all-in-one chat, SMS/Email, live chat, and WhatsApp, with the “All-In-One chat” type selected.

What Changed:
HighLevel’s chat widget now offers an all-in-one experience, combining SMS, email, and WhatsApp options into a single chat view.

Why It Matters for LOs:

  • Offers flexibility to clients on how they want to engage

  • Future-proofs your chat interface as channels expand

  • Helps create a cleaner client experience

Note: This is more relevant for users doing high-volume digital support. For mortgage pros, it may be niche—but worth exploring.

Reputation Management Enhancements

Email Review Request configuration in HighLevel Reputation tab with editable subject, timing controls, and a preview of a branded review request email built using the Email Builder.

What Changed:
You can now choose email as a delivery method for review requests and build the email in the Email Builder directly within the Reputation tab.

Why It Matters for LOs:

  • More control over how review requests look and feel

  • Potential to use branded templates vs. default text

  • Easier to connect review automation with your marketing systems

Tip: Templates must be built from scratch in this area (can’t yet pull in global email templates). Expect this to improve.

Opportunities in Workflows

What Changed:
HighLevel has separated "Create" and "Update" Opportunity actions, and added the ability to search ("Find") opportunities inside workflows.

Why It Matters for LOs:

  • Prevents duplicate opportunities

  • Enables more precise pipeline logic (e.g., update only if loan # exists)

  • Gives teams clearer control over automation behavior

Tip: If you see a deprecation warning on "Create/Update Opportunity," switch to the new split actions for future workflows.

A2P Compliance Warning

What Changed:
HighLevel continues tightening enforcement around A2P compliance. Users now see clearer reminders to separate marketing and transactional consent in form opt-ins.

Why It Matters for LOs:

  • Better A2P submission success rates

  • Fewer rejected applications = less wasted time and fees

  • Mortgage industry reps are under stricter scrutiny

Tip: Always include two opt-in boxes (marketing + transactional). This is no longer a "nice to have"—it’s becoming a requirement.

Why These Updates Matter for Mortgage Pros

This week’s updates might not flood your CRM with new features, but they bring real structure to how you handle reporting, client reviews, and pipeline automation. And with A2P becoming a moving target, this is your reminder to stay ahead of the red tape.
